Joon-myoung Kwon is the CEO of Medical AI Co., Ltd. He is a critical care and emergency medicine physician as well as data scientist, specializing in the application of artificial intelligence in medical domains. He serves as the Chief Director of the Digital Healthcare Research center of Sejong medical Group.
He graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine and completed a master’s degree in bioinformatics and statistics at Korea National Open University. He has worked in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Seoul National University Hospital and Sejong Hospital Group.
Medical AI Co., Ltd. under his leadership, has developed software that utilizes artificial intelligence to analyze a 12-lead electrocardiogram, enabling the detection of heart failure, which was previously undetectable. The software received medical device approval and non-reimbursement recognition from the Korean government. Since its market release two months ago, the software has been used by over 100,000 patients.
