Mr. Jay Biggs is the Deputy Senior Commercial Officer in the Commercial section of the U.S. Embassy Seoul. After graduating with a degree in Economics from Arizona State University, Mr. Biggs taught English in Japan and later attended graduate schools in both Washington DC and Kyoto Japan.
After graduate school, Mr. Biggs joined the U.S. Department of Commerce, working on the Japan and China desks and later working on medical regulatory issues in Asia. Mr. Biggs joined the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service in 2011 and served three-year tours in the Chinese cities of Guangzhou and Beijing. Mr. Biggs also served in the U.S. Consulate in Osaka, where he was head of the Commercial section from 2019 to 2021. In his current position at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, Mr. Biggs is responsible for helping his team maximize their clients’ outcomes.
