Dr Hyun-Young Park

Dr. Hyun-Young Park is the Director of the National Institute of Health in South Korea. She has been pivotal in advancing rare disease research, women’s health, and precision medicine in the country. Over the past decade, she has been a key advocate for data sharing initiatives and has played a pivotal role in the development of several clinical data management systems. She also led women’s health research programs and promoted major national projects for genomic research. Dr. Park earned her MD and PhD from Yonsei University and has published over 200 research articles, focusing on population genetics, women’s health, and cardiovascular diseases.
